Product description

The world's first chorus pedal and the first BOSS unit ever — the Jazz Chorus circuit in a box, analog BBD inside. All sections tested and working.

The CE-1 takes the chorus/vibrato section of Roland's Jazz Chorus amp and puts it in a standalone unit built around an analog BBD circuit — BOSS's first effect and the world's first chorus pedal. The built-in preamp has a sound of its own, which is a big part of why the unit still shows up on records and stages today.

Condition: honest vintage wear for a 40-plus-year-old unit — scuffs, small scratches, faded paint, light rust and dulling on the metal parts, and traces of black paint on the rear panel. No critical damage.

Function: sound-tested — preamp, chorus and vibrato sections all confirmed working. The power cable is built in and the unit is wired for AC 100V (Japan).
